Tony Petitti Quote from Coaches Meeting

Coaches, we live in a world that has a National Championship, and the SEC need to be beat by a team from the Big Ten. Who's gonna do it? Penn State? You, Ohio State? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Michigan, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that Stealing signs, while tragic, is not illegal; and Jim Harbaugh’s existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, helps the Big Ten.

You don't want to punish Michigan because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want Michigan to win the National Title -- you need Michigan to win the National Title.

They use words like "The Team," "The Team," "The Team." They use these words as the backbone of a life spent winning football games. You use them as a punch line.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to coaches who bitch and complain they can’t beat the Michigan team Jim provides and then questions the manner in which they win games.

I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a camera and steal a sign. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're entitled to!

I don't like having S. Moore as the acting head coach. Because

Now he's head coach, OC, and OL coach. It's too much. I'd make Jay or Hart the HC. Or maybe even Coach Herbert, lol.

But the amount on Moore's plate is a lot and I think it showed with the 32 straight runs. I mean, i'm glad it worked and I was fine with it, but I think the volume of duties played into the simple decision to just run it.

This is what is giving me pause about any assistants knowing

This is OPINION, of course. This tweet by Nicole Auerbach is something I’ve been thinking about.

If the NCAA has uncovered anything new, I just don’t get the sense that the Big Ten would be fine with continuing with the original punishment, as it’s clear they’re deferring to the NCAA. I doubt the Big Ten and/or NCAA is sitting on anything either to drop the hammer at a later date.

Obviously, if others were aware, swift action from both Michigan and the powers that be would need to take place.

Could it be Michigan just caved to end the distraction? It’s what some have hypothesized but obviously not based on knowledge of any kind.

I still have texts out asking around but have yet to hear anything concrete in that regard.

Hopefully this thread doesn't get deleted too, but it is very simple Math...

What the Big ten had on us was far greater than what we have on others. No other possible explanation to accept the punishment. Doesn't matter if the case would be ruled before Ohio st, it's optics. All my big 10 friends keep texting that obviously big 10 said if they don't accept, they'll release A,B, and C. It doesn't matter if that's correct or not. That's how it'll be perceived by everyone other than Michigan fans.

Time to move on people

What's done is done. We can't change it. Time to galvanize and support the players and coaches who are taking the field for the next two weeks. Lots of speculation and in the end Josh will get to the bottom of it. Take the evening and complain, bitch and moan whatever but we should all wake up tomorrow ready for football. I for one am glad this circus is behind us for now. Time to go win the Big Ten east.

You all deserve answers…

So I am working to give those to you about why things are the way right now.

Give me some time and your patience as I work through that. A lot of people are rightfully processing things on their own, there are a lot of factors as to why this is happening but nothing is out there to suggest there’s new evidence or anything like that RIGHT NOW.

I will continue to get the answers you all are owed, just give me a little bit of time. I don’t have the answers just yet.

Insider Intel: Michigan prepared to fight for Jim Harbaugh

Did some digging about any potential aftermath Michigan will do IF Tony Petitti ends up dishing out a suspension for Jim Harbaugh.

If you recall in an earlier update, Petitti ASKED both Ono and Manuel to suspend Harbaugh for two games and were essentially laughed off and politely told to shove it.

Petitti responded with the argument that he can suspend Harbaugh under the rules.

Some are of the belief that IF Petitti were to act, there could be some news either Sunday or Monday about any potential suspension. We're not sure if it is one or two games but the fact that Petitti wanted two games for Harbaugh, it is my OPINION that wouldn't change for his own punishment.

What we've learned is that Michigan WILL absolutely fight back on any suspension handed out by the Big Ten. Whatever Jim Harbaugh wants to do, the university will act accordingly. I don't expect Harbaugh to accept any suspension but the university would respect his wishes if that were the case.

The more realistic scenario is that the Wolverines will fight HARD for Harbaugh, to the point where they will try and get an injunction from the courts in order for Harbaugh to see the field with the program.

Obviously, that'll be a bridge that has to be crossed once we get there but the university has made it abundantly clear that they have Harbaugh's back and are willing to do whatever it takes for the betterment of the football program.

We'll see what pops up once the Purdue game is over and in the days ahead.
