Insider Intel: Is the NCAA done interviewing players?

As we sit here in the biggest week of the season for the football program, one of the biggest questions lingering is whether the NCAA will continue its interview process into this week after being in Ann Arbor last week.

I have confirmed that there will be NO INTERVIEWS of the players this week and that the NCAA may not need to conduct any more during the remainder of the investigation.

Some good news to start the week at least.

One thing to Watch Out for

One thing to watch out for is OSU attacking Josh Wallace vertically. I saw a tweet a while back about how teams will take a couple shots a game at him by running a double move and he gets beat on that route consistently. Since that, I’ve seen it happen game in and game out. I think if he is on the boundary against MHJ it is imperative to have safety help.

Our D line needs its best game ever to win this game, pressure McCord and don’t let Henderson get in space and it will be a good game. I also expect a fake field goal/punt from OSU at one point in the game. There’s been a couple times this year that Michigan dropped off in punt coverage and the punter could have run for a first easily if he had noticed. Going back to OSU Georiga and Ryan Day running the fake punt, it’s something he likes to do and I wouldn’t be suprised to see it.

Insider A footnote on last week…

So it turns out I was asking the wrong question to those who I spoke to.

In full transparency, I asked the following question: Did they find any evidence linking an assistant to Connor Stalions operation?

The answer was no. Of course it’s no because it still holds true. There’s no evidence linking anyone to anything yet.

However, I should’ve asked: What did the NCAA have to cause concern?

That, of course, was Chris Partridge impeding an NCAA investigation by telling his players not to cooperate with the NCAA and the attempt to destroy devices. Two major no-no’s and a violation in itself. I can see why Michigan went the route it did, as much as it likely crushed Harbaugh to do so.

Last week was a lesson for me in my young career, explore every avenue and don’t ask the one question you think it is.

In hindsight, should Tuttle have played?

Hindsight is 20/20, but since JJ was not nearly as effective as usual would we have done much worse with Tuttle? He has looked better as the season has gone on, and can run. And JJ could have rested. I’m going to say NO-despite JJ throwing an interception, I would have feared turnovers from Jack behind our patchwork line and running into the Md secondary, which had some tough players. Edit-I’m watching Inside Michigan Football and JJ made more good plays than I remembered. Tend to remember the bad ones in a game like that.

Question for Anison or Mods

I know this may be a dumb question but does UM have a PR firm? It seems to me that alot of the narratives being pushed could be at the very least less effective if we had a powerful PR machine working with us. The silence allows clowns like Finebaum and other mouthpieces to just spew opinions without pushback. Now there is one going around that Harbaugh will be suspended for next year or most of next year.

BREAKING NEWS: Regarding the Private Investigator and how this whole Michigan investigation started. Are
@ryandaytime
and/or family connected? Was the information used to start the investigation and punish Michigan, obtained through illegal and unethical means? Will it hold up in court? Are there other things going on, such as a clear attempt to harm
@Umich
and
@SantaJOno
/
@UMichPrezOno
and
@CoachJim4UM
? This is a long post, but stay with me here..... First, let's talk about who the private Investigator is and their connection to
@ryandaytime
and his family. This guy went to high school with Ryan Day and was classmates with his brother, Tim Day. (Manchester Central High School)http://m.facebook.com/feliks.haxhija…603.664.4448Ryan Day's brother is involved and the family/school are funding apparently. Look at this poorly created business.....http://thirddayinv.comGuess who is part of it? Yep Feliks They setup shop at Michigan for business purposes. So they could operate there I guess. But they aren't actually located in Michiganhttp://thirddayinv.com/general-8I expect this is where they are actually located...http://feliksinvestigation.comAn LLC cannot have a PO Box listed as your physical address. (confirmed by multiple sources online: can a Michigan LLC have a business and mailing address be a PO box? Third Day Investigations, LLC lists their address as New Address: 35560 Grand River Ave. Suite 254. Farmington Hills, MI. 48335. (Search Summary State of Michigan Corporations Division)This is clearly fraudulent, as 35560 Grand River Ave is a UPS Store. There is no "Suite 254". I am assuming this is intentional to obfuscate that it is a PO box, but unless the State looked into it, they'd never know Suite 254 is fake.The LLC filing with the state has the same address w/ suite 254 listed on physical and mailing address, as well. This would confirm fraudulent filing.One of the Partners (Operations - East) of the company is Mr. Feliks Haxhija. He has his own PI Firm (Feliks Investigations Group LLC) listed in New Hampshire. (Feliks Investigations Group LLC | Better Business Bureau® Profile (http://bbb.org)) He does not list Third Day Investigations on his LinkedIn profile, even though he has been active on there. Weird, no? So what is the impact of all this? Here are some facts about Private Investigators and their investigations....1) If you were harmed in the course of their investigation – negligently or otherwise – you can seek legal recourse against both the PI and the person who hired them. Additionally, if you can prove that the information they garnered on you was obtained illegally, you can sue them and hold them criminally liable as well. Proving Michigan was "harmed" in this would be so easy that I could do it. Stallions, Partridge and Harbaugh may have a case too. So it's really a question of, did the PI do anything illegal, and can you tie it directly to Day or Ohio State? I strongly believe Michigan can!
😀
See the images attached for more hints on this....Obviously this is all stuff Michigan already knows and I'm sure they are a few steps more ahead!!! Go Blue!

I really hope that Warde says NO to anymore player "interrogations" this week

I think many of us were concerned about players mind set going into Maryland - with THE NCAA talking to some players and the dismissal of Coach CP - Well post game Blake Corum said something interesting on the field after the game - I am paraphrasing but he said something to the effect that they may not have played well because they didnt prepare well ! To me that was telling and concerning - These kids have been through so much - I really feel for them - So I really hope that Warde mans up and keeps THE NCAA out of locker room this week

Head coach for OSU

Is it a done deal Sherrone Moore will be interim HC again? I'm sure I'll get plenty of hate for this but I'd love to see Jay Harbs get the nod. The stats for JJ when Moore is HC this season are startling and I think it speaks volumes to Moore being spread too thin. He's already got a full load as it is doing OL coach AND OC. I'd even argue that's too much, then you give him HC duties on top of that? I don't like it. I know the idea of switching it up now probably sounds crazy but I think it's equally crazy to ask Moore to be HC for The Game

Insider Intel: The aftermath of Chris Partridge being let go

I had information this morning about an assistant being involved and could not get it confirmed in time, now we know it’s Chris Partridge.

However, we were told that the “new evidence” had to do with the NCAA interviews they were conducting. Again, not naming any player names even if we knew, but that is likely part of the source of new information and evidence from the NCAA.

We’re also told that Partridge did not want to cooperate with the investigation, including handing over devices.

As of RIGHT NOW, there's nothing directly linking him to anything, just that his lack of cooperation was a good part of his downfall.

OT: Sparty HC candidates

Per our Spartan Rivals partners and Clint, these are AT LEAST 4 candidates MSU hopes to get second interviews with.

I am curious if MSU can make a hire before other schools swoop in. I say that because Elko is a top choice for TAMU.
If UCLA does indeed open up, I'd bet a decent amount of money the choice would be Fisch or Smith.

Smith is interesting. He may beat Washington tomorrow, but he has never been East of Montana.
