Good news would be a breath of fresh air. Werenski's got so much raw skill and offensive prowess with the puck, as I recall from last season. Beyond him, there's a lot of youth on the blue line. Martin came on strong last season, and De Jong and Downing need to have the coaching staff's confidence handling the puck.
Werenski's still Michigan's best d-man with the puck and running the power play.
