Given all that has come out that Jim had a good meeting with Ono and a contract is waiting in essence waiting to be signed, the question to be asked is why isn't it? It seems that Jim's first desire, is the NFL otherwise he would have signed it. His comments of intentions to return are true IF he doesn't get an NFL offer. At this point he has a narrow window of leverage. If his NFL offers dry up, he is in the same boat as last year, has really no leverage anymore and returns only to have the same exact drama January 2024. His actions are speaking louder than words that he wants the NFL.
